"Little Johnny Love"
From playing the opening riff in Peter Gunn for Henry Mancini to
composing some of the most memorable sound tracks, Little Johnny
Love, as he was called in the 1950s, has amazing versatility and
talent. He is a master of using a musical theme based on a few
notes, that lets you know a specific character is about to
appear in a film. For example, the hair raising notes used to
signal the arrival of the shark in Jaws and the "hero's coming"
music in the Indiana Jones films. His career as a composer,
conductor and pianist, spans 60 years--and he has worked on most
of Steven Spielberg's feature films. Besides a number of films,
Williams also composed the theme music for four Olympic Games.
He has won five Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, seven
BAFTA Awards and 21 Grammy Awards.
