Famous
Poems Poets strive to evoke an
emotion, using words in a creative, often melodic sense. Rhythm,
rhyming, alliteration, symbolism, irony and sarcasm, all have
their place as a tool used by our famous poets. Over time, some
poems become famous, are used as ideals to live up to in the
literary world, and are recited time and time again. Some poems
become songs or plays. Historically, poetry predates the written
word, the rhyming a method of helping the memory so a story
could be handed down and remembered. This is perhaps why poetry
has always taken on a romantic nature, words of love that one
wants to have remembered. With Valentine's Day coming up, we
thought you would like to test your poetry skills. See if you
can match the poem to the poet, just drag to poet on the right
over to the poem on the left and connect. There is a time limit,
so have fun!
Our Mission:
"Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
and the spirit of giving back to the community."
