Wild
Horses - May They Forever Run FreeWe had the opportunity to visit a herd of wild horses in Nevada, up near Virginia City last year. We were happy to see how healthy they were. There has been a lot of press about the mismanagement of the wild horses and burros through the hands of the BLM--the agency mandated with their protection through the Wild Horse and Burro Act of 1971. We thought you might want to make a puzzle of these beautiful animals, running free in their native habitat. Remember to click on Ghost to put the image as your worktable, click on Image to see the colors. Rotate the pieces with your mouse roller or by using your arrow keys with the mouse over the piece you are working with, and to click and drag the pieces where you want them. We hope, once you've enjoyed the puzzle, you will take the time to tell your representatives that we need to protect these native species, symbols of the American west and of American Freedom. This photo was taken by wildlife ecologist Craig Downer, part of the Calico herd that has been rounded up due to starvation??? Wow, they look healthy to me!
