Marcus and Russ are best friends who have been refurbishing properties together in L.A., and are both on HGTV shows including ‘Hammer Heads’, ‘24 Hour Design’ and ‘Design on a Dime’. They have a great sense of humor and have made many mistakes along the way so they try to help other DIY’ers learn from their mistakes with great tips and anecdotes. 

Russ Hemmis - Russ had a wonderful childhood growing up in Rosamond, Calif., a small desert town about 1-1/2 hours north of Los Angeles. He loved his childhood so much that he's never quite outgrown his boyish antics. He is a self-proclaimed goofball with a hammer who isn't afraid to try anything. "The worst that can happen is I'll fail and have to do it again - and then maybe a third time." He and his best friend, Marcus, call themselves Team Two Times because it usually takes them twice to get it right. A self-taught carpenter, Hemmis considers himself to be a jack of all trades. Being able to do everything from plumbing and electrical work to drywall, flooring and trim work has allowed him to take on large-scale projects. For the past five years, he has been flipping houses in southern California, starting with a rent-to-own program that helps first-time buyers get into a home. Recently, he and his business partner finished the renovation of a four-unit building in Hollywood. Now he is looking forward to having more time to enjoy his favorite activity, skydiving.

Marcus Hunt - With a mother born in Germany, father born in England and brother born in France, Marcus somehow ended up being born in Memphis, Tennessee. Throughout his childhood, the Hunt family moved every four to five years bringing them to Georgia, where Marcus graduated from Walton High School and earned a degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia. After a year in the advertising industry, Marcus decided to move out to California for a change. Within four years, that change came in the form of the Michelin Man when Marcus brought the character to life in the memorable commercial campaign for Michelin Tires. This became the first in a series of fascinating TV and film characters. Success in TV, Film and Commercial work created the opportunity for Marcus to purchase his first home and get into real estate investing. He learned most of what he knows about carpentry, renovation and design through flipping houses and most recently purchasing and renovating two apartment buildings in Hollywood with his friend and business partner, Russ Hemmis.
Successfully flipping homes has brought Marcus to this philosophy, "There is no better way to learn than to jump in and try it. Ha! - that or fix it when you've jumped too hard." An avid adrenaline junkie and a certifiable gadget guru, Marcus enjoys scuba diving, skydiving, rock climbing, snowboarding and mountain biking, with his free time - all four minutes of it. Most Sundays, you can find him skydiving somewhere in Southern California. A big thanks to his parents for supporting him in any and all crazy adventures that he chose and chooses to tackle in life and also to Robert Devine at Anatomorphex for giving him the opportunity to bring so many of his amazing character suits and creatures to life.
