Merry Christmas and
Happy Holidays Game
Read the story, the
clues are in yellow. When you are done, play the game below.
You are probably home for Christmas
vacation. Isn’t it wonderful to stay home and spend more time with your
family and your pets? More time to play with your friends and sleep in
late.
Is it snowing where you live? It must be fun to play in the snow.
Sometimes we get a Christmas tree with pretend
snow sprayed on. Sometimes we
get a snow fall but it melts as soon as it lands.
My favorite part of Christmas is
playing in the empty boxes and wrapping
paper. I also like to hide in the tree and play with the
ornaments.
What time do you get up on Christmas
morning? Marcella’s kids used to get up at 3:00am and Marcella told
them to go back to bed for another hour or so. Now that they are older
they sleep in longer. For some reason they would save the Christmas
stocking for last as if it were
their favorite part of opening presents.
Have you gotten a present for your
parents yet? I will tell you what parents like the most. They always
love to get something that you make. Like a picture that you painted, or
a clay pot. They will show all of their friends what you made and brag
about how artistic you are.
Last Christmas Marcella’s daughter gave her a
scarf that she knitted.
Marcella wears it all of the time and smiles when she puts it on.
Do you see all of the
decorations around town? Do you
see the pretty lights on the
houses and the pretend
Reindeer on the front lawns? Many people like to drive around at
night to look at all of the decorations. Some people even put ornaments
on their cars.
Families have different
traditions. Some families open
one present on Christmas Eve. Some families take turns opening their
gifts. Some open the presents carefully and others just rip them open.
Have you ever eaten fruitcake?
Some people like it but a lot of people do not. How about
eggnog, do you have that on
Christmas-eve? It might be fun to ask your friends what they do that is
special on Christmas.
Be sure to be very good and help your
parents. Your parents are very busy this time of the year and they need
you to be patient. It is a lot of work to shop and cook for everyone.
They want Christmas to be perfect
for you. Never peek at your presents because that can ruin the
surprise. Also, it is important to always tell the person thank you for
the present. They may have spent a lot of time trying to find something
you would like. It will make them feel happy.
Oh yes, another fun thing to do is to
go out with your family and friends and sing
carols. If you get
permission you can go into
hospitals and sing to cheer up the patients.
Have a wonderful and very merry
Christmas!

It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
