Halloween!
It's Trick or Treat Time!
Hi,
I am Orion the cat, and I would like to play a game with you. First, you
must read my story below, and pay close attention to the words
highlighted in yellow--these are clues! Once you have read the story,
play the game at the end. If you have read the story, you will be able
to play the game! Good luck and let's get started!
Hi kids, it’s almost Halloween! Have
you picked out a costume yet? How about an orange cat like me?
Halloween is the
last day of October -
every year. On that day children get treats and sometimes even pets get
a treat. Halloween is one of the oldest Holidays and is
celebrated in
most countries.
On
Halloween children and pets get dressed up in
costumes. Well mostly
children but sometimes pets.
Make sure your costume is safe so that you
don’t trip and your mask lets you breathe. Also make sure that the ties
are not too tight.
This day is for having fun. You may
have a party at school with your friends. Sometimes there will be a
contest for the
best costume.
Have
you ever carved a pumpkin? I like the pumpkins with a cat face. You
can even buy kits that
include things to put on the pumpkin instead of carving them. Some
people call the pumpkin a
Jack-O-Lantern. My friend Marcella likes to dig out all of the
seeds. She puts them on
a sheet of paper and salts them. After a few days they are dry and
ready to eat. You can even use the pumpkin insides to make
pies. I like the whip
cream on top the most.
Trick-or-treating
is when you go house to house and knock on the door with other kids. It
is only allowed on Halloween.
Believe it or not it really works. People answer the door and give you
treats. You should have a large bag with
you
to put your treats in. It is fun to make your own trick-or-treat bag.
Just color a paper bag
with a picture of a pumpkin on one side and a cat on the other side.
You can choose
anything you want.
It
is very important to remember that you should always have
your parents with you
when you go trick or treating. Watch your step, because it is difficult
to see in the dark. It is a good idea to bring a
flashlight.
When
you get home it is always fun to spread out your treats on the table and
see what you have. Your parents
should check your treats to see if there is anything that you should not
have.
Try
and make the treats last a long time by eating only a few each week.
Count how many you have and then
mark your calendar with how many you can eat each week.

of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the

to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
