Lynn Wiese Sneyd
'The Book Biz Whiz' & Owner of LWS Literary Services
After spending over a decade in financial sales, Lynn Wiese Sneyd decided to follow her heart’s desire and become a writer. She started by freelancing magazine articles, and writing and publishing a health newsletter. When an idea for a non-fiction book came to mind, she wrote a book proposal, found an agent and soon afterward secured a publisher. 'Holistic Parenting: Raising Children to a New Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Well-Being' (Keats/McGraw Hill) was released in 2000. While writing the book, she received a fellowship to the Ragdale Foundation, a writer’s colony in Lake Forest, IL.
Just before her book hit the stores, Lynn started working at Barnes & Noble as a community relations manager. There, she scheduled and promoted author events, workshops, and book fairs, and also partnered with organizations to promote literacy and the arts within the community.
