The
Joiners
Nashville Band featuring Taylor Joiner,
Rachel Joiner
and Joe Bidewell
by Lisa D. Smith
We (Nancy & Lisa -
editors of Big Blend Magazine) had the pleasure of ‘meeting’ The
Joiners on our weekly variety and entertainment radio show
‘Champagne Sundays’, where they called in to chat about their new
album Olives and Oil.
This album totally backs up its cool name and cover with delicious
melodies soaked with tasty lyrics that are creative yet to the point
– and though it’s an online download, It simply has that classic
vinyl feel and sound to it – it’s like the good ‘ol days not matter
how old you are!
We had a great time with them on the show - their music and
conversation was perfectly suited for a nice Sunday afternoon of
sipping champagne! After we played their song ‘Work’, we just had to
make it our official closing song to our Champagne Sundays radio
show - take a listen, you’ll be humming it the rest of the day and
on Monday morning, don’t be surprised if you drive to work singing
‘I don’t wanna go to work….!’
The band is made up of Taylor and Rachel Joiner (husband and wife),
and their good buddy Joe Bidewell. Taylor plays the guitar and
sings; Rachel backs him up on vocals and keeps the band steady on
the drums; and Joe plays bass, harmonica, and accordion, and also
sings the highs in their three part harmonies.

Our Mission: "Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
and the spirit of giving back to the community."
