Set majestically at the gateway to Temecula Valley's Wine Country in Southern California, Thornton Winery combines old world style with new world taste to create award-winning and premium varietal wines that emulate the classic wine styles of the Mediterranean and Rhône regions. Proven to be the best for producing fine quality Sparkling Wine/Champagne, Thornton Winery uses The Méthode Champenoise. The winery, an elegant French-style chateau overlooking the graceful vineyards of the Temecula Valley, highlights Café Champagne - a Four Star award-winning gourmet restaurant, a breathtaking Fountain Terrace, Herb Gardens, Gift Shop, and Champagne Lounge. The winery is the perfect venue for the widely popular, annual Champagne Jazz concert series that is held annually from April through Ocober; and offers fabulous facilities for Weddings, Banquets, and Winery Tours.

Wine & Champagne
Thornton Winery produces award-winning champagne, and red and white wines that burst with flavor, showcasing the distinct characteristics of the varietals included in the blend using whole cluster pressing, extensive blending, barrel aging, and different vinification techniques. From the beginning, Thornton Winery has utilized skills perfected in blending Méthode Champenoise Sparkling Wine/Champagne and then applied them to their premium varietal still wines. The final steps in the Méthode Champenoise process are visible through the gift shop windows at the winery. Raised on family vineyards in Ukiah, California, Thornton Winery’s Winemaker Don Reha has an extensive wine background. Free Public Winery Tours are held on weekends, and the Tasting Room & Gift Shop are open daily. The tasting room offers sits down service where appetizers may be ordered. Join Thornton Winery’s special Reserve Club and receive a full case of Thornton Varietal Wine, or join Club de Vin and receive two bottles of carefully selected, hand-crafted wines every other month, plus other discounts.
