Consider Yourself Part Of The Herd
Consider the billions of dollars
spent to roundup horses (a native species under federal
protection by federal law) for no sensible, honest reason--while
your state parks are being closed for lack of funds. Follow the
money, waste and more waste at your expense. Less and less money
in your pocket--more and more money used inefficiently, even
when against Federal Law. Our state governments elect to take
away our parks while spending our tax money to do something as
cruel, unneeded and wasteful as chasing horses and burros. The
current roundup at Calico, Nevada is a great example of how our
Bureau of Land Management manages. Cruel, barbaric, unnecessary
and based on no real facts. One has to ask why? Follow the
money.. who is it benefiting? Not the taxpayer, not the horses,
not you. Just think, all that wasted money could keep state
parks open, people in jobs, and provide a place for us to
commune with nature and soak up some history and protect our
heritage..
It is our responsibility to stand up for ourselves--remember
government of the people, by the people, for the people. While
you may feel this does not effect you directly, it does. How
much money do you hand over each month--just to see it misspent
on projects just like this?
Call President Obama at
1-202-456-1111 and tell him you object to waste of your tax
money in this fashion. Tell him you object to him standing by
while this cruelty continues. Ask him to call off the BLM
roundups and revisit the role of the BLM. This is our public
land -- they are not managing it for us. It is leased out for
mining, drilling, and cattle grazing. Call your Senators and
tell them to get the Roam Act out of the House and pass it to
stop this ridiculous waste of YOUR money. Tell them you want
your state parks to remain open.... re-direct the miss-used
funds misappropriated to roundups, to saving state parks and
keeping jobs. It does not matter where you live--at some point,
as the economy toughens, your state government will start to
close your parks. Follow what they do with YOUR money.
Ask Senators on Subcommittee for Hearings!
Please take a moment for Wild Ones! Write your Senators and Congress people, ask that they call for hearings on the Bureau of Land Management's Wild Horse and Burro program, immediately.

"Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
and the spirit of giving back to the community."
