Brad & Terri Bailey
Husband-wife owners of Bailey’s Palomar Resort, Brad and Terri Bailey contribute family recipes and articles about historic Palomar Mountain in Southern California. Terri shares her own family recipes as well as recipes from the historic Bailey family cookbooks that archive recipes from pioneer to present day cooks.
Brad, who contributes articles about the area’s pioneer history and local lore, is a fourth generation Palomar Mountain resident, president of the Bailey Historical Society, and author of ‘Images of America: Palomar Mountain.’
Family-owned and operated since its founding in 1888, Bailey’s Palomar Resort is the original township of Palomar Mountain. Today this mile-high 60-acre property is a tranquil and private retreat that spans deep old-growth forests and rich green meadows, and is home to a heritage apple orchard, a stand of century old walnut trees, and a picturesque and well stocked fish pond. Guests can stay in charming vacation cabins and cottage rentals, or enjoy camping and luxury ‘glamping’ in the forested campgrounds, or stay in the historic Bailey House (formally Palomar Hotel), a popular destination for weddings, professional and corporate retreats, and private gatherings with family and friends.
