Lori and Joe
O'Keefe have been avid wine enthusiasts for almost twenty years.
Lori brings MBA and MWA (multiple wines adored) degrees with years
of experience in event planning, philanthropy, and leadership
training along with a love of good food and wine (not necessarily in
that order). Joe (pictured above) is a teacher, composer, conductor,
and has an amazing sense of smell. He knows the wine is good before
the bottle is opened.
WINE 101 is the perfect blend of Lori and Joe's desire to offer
unique social, learning, and tasting opportunities for their friends
and neighbors in Wake Forest. They look forward to offering classes,
wellness programs, entertainment, corporate gifts, and a continuing
series about great value wines. If you like wine, like to learn
about wine, and are searching for obscure wines at great prices then
WINE 101 is YOUR wine store. We have nearly 1000 wines in the shop
and can special order everything else and have it in 24 hours! Come
on in for sip, sign up for a class, attend one of the infamous WINE
101 "duels", or just stop in to say hello.
We welcome recommendations and thoroughly enjoy the company of ALL
