For Donna George, it was taking over ownership of The Peanut Patch where she worked over 26 years ago in a quest to keep the charm of country stores alive. Then there’s Rosie the Riveter, the iconic “We Can Do It” song and image that led women into the world of manufacturing and helped America’s victory in World War II. There are also all those who paved the way for the LGBTQ community to have a safe and fun place like Palm Springs to visit and enjoy as a vacation destination.
