Yes, it’s summertime, and you know what that means. That’s right! It’s time to go out and play! It’s time to express your freedom and independence by building new memories and having some FUN! So, call up your friends and loved ones, and give yourselves the time of your lives!

In the spirit of July 4th, known as America’s Independence Day, we’re going to walk down freedom lane with authenticity, individuality, and passion.

So, how do you express your authenticity, individuality, and passion? Do you feel free to express who you are in a way that brings honor, dignity, and regard to yourself and others? Do you realize how important it is to be genuinely interested in pursuing your dreams and encouraging others to do the same?

We are so fortunate in America. We take a lot for granted, even the freedom to speak out if we don’t agree with the state of affairs. Just look at Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter with all of the conversations taking place about a myriad of subjects, many of which are controversial and subjective.

The notion of “independence” is a privilege. It’s a state or condition of being free from outside control, influence, or reliance on others. It refers to the ability to govern oneself and make decisions autonomously, without being subject to external constraints or dependencies. We can do that here in America. We cannot do that in many other countries.

Independence can manifest on various levels, including individual, societal, political, or economic independence. But real independence and freedom come from the inside-out… from our perspectives in how we view ourselves and the world… in deciding what kind of human beings we want to be. It’s up to us. Do we want to be kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and loving?

Oh sure, we can be quite the opposite. We can be mean, angry, and prideful. We can hold judgment and prejudices and hate others for the color of their skin or the religion they believe in, or believe someone is “less than”, just because of their gender. There could be nothing further from the truth.

Independence involves the freedom to think, act, and express oneself in accordance with one’s own beliefs, values, and interests, without undue interference or coercion from others. Independence is highly valued as it allows individuals or entities to pursue their goals, exercise rights, and determine their own destinies.

Hats off to independence, freedom, and love.

Let’s make this life the best life experience possible, right here and now, for it is the present moment that determines our future.

It’s your life. Enjoy the journey. And remember to bring love into everything you do.
