CLASSIC AMERICAN BURGER
This traditional burger recipe is from Ivan Flowers, 5-Star Chef and Culinary Instructor
Serves 1
1 Jumbo Sesame Seed Bun
8 oz. 80/20 Ground Chuck
Salt
Pepper
Spray Oil
1 Slice Muenster Cheese
1 Slice American Cheese
4 Thin Slices Tomato, salt & pepper slices
3 Leaves of Iceberg Lettuce
1/2 Shallot, thinly sliced
6 Bread & Butter Pickle Chips
1/2 tsp. Each of Mustard, Ketchup & Mayo
Let beef sit at room temp for 29 minutes. Form patty with divot in center. Salt & pepper both sides.
Heat a non-stick pan with generous amount of spray oil over medium heat until hot.
Cook first side of burger 4 minutes, flip, top with cheese & cook another 4 minutes for medium rare.
Remove from heat & let rest a couple minutes.
Place burger on bottom bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, shallot & pickles. Spread sauce on top bun. Place on burger etc.
