THE CRAVEN RAVEN COCKTAIL
1st Place Winner by Lisa Getz of Spring Valley, California
1 ½ oz Captain Morgan Dark Rum
¾ oz Crème de Cacao
1 cup ice
Black food color
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Add black rum, crème de cacao, ice and 1 or 2 drops black food color to a martini shaker.
In small bowl, add brown sugar and 1 drop black food color. Mix with fork until all sugar is black. Wet rim of martini glass with water. Dip rim into sugar.
Strain martini into glass, and serve!
THE CRAVEN VIOLETTE MARTINI
2nd Place Winner by Linda Stewart of Temecula, California
1.5 oz. vodka
1 oz. Crème de Violette
1 oz. pomegranate juice
.5 oz. fresh lemon juice
Add all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake well and pour into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a dark Bing cherry (I use Tillen Farms Bada Bing Cherries)
THE ANGRY CRAVEN
3rd Place Winner by Jerien Cathey of San Diego, California
2 oz Hennessey
3 oz Angry Orchard Hard Cider
Pour over ice and serve in a tub / bucket glass.
THE CRAVEN CRAISIN MARTINI
4th Place Winner by Ward Heinrichs of San Diego, California
3 oz Vodka
1.5 oz Grand Marnier
Dozen Craisins added to bottom of martini glass
Stir the craisins in black food coloring and let dry before placing in martini glass.
Shaken NOT Stirred!
THE EXPLOSIVE CRAVEN
5th Place Winner by Judith Galindo of Medford, Oregon
Fill cocktail shaker with 6 ounces ice cubes
Add 2 oz of 8-10 year aged Bacardi
Add 6 ounces blood orange sparkling water (this is a nod to The Cravens band manager Nancy’s hair)
Add the juice of a half of lime (squeezed)
Shake well (like you mean it) and pour into chilled 8 ounce bucket glass
Garnish with an orange wedge
