ERIN’S FARM STYLE CHILI
In the video below, Erin Turner at The Farm at Spring Creek shows how to make her homemade farm style chili. Serves 6.
1 lb. Grass-fed ground beef
1 TBSP olive oil
1 can French onion soup
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 can ranch style beans with jalapenos (optional: regular ranch style beans or a can of chili beans)
2 cups beef bone broth
2 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp Crystal Hot Sauce
1 tsp Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning (Can use salt and pepper instead)
Heat the oil over medium heat in your pot (a 2.5 quart pot works well).
Brown the ground beef and season with Tony’s Creole Seasoning or salt and pepper.
Add the chili powder and cook for 2 more minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients and let it come to a rolling boil.
Stir and reduce heat to low and let it simmer for at least an hour. The liquid should reduce by half.
Serve and enjoy!
