KITCHEN & BAR TRICKS WITH BOB
Compiled by editors Nancy J. Reid & Lisa D. Smith
Bob Schuman and his wife Debi are the innkeepers of the Miller-Dunham House Bed and Breakfast, a colonial-style home in the heart of historic Odessa, Delaware. We met them when we stayed there as part of our Love Your Parks Tour, and what a fun and wonderful experience we had! Odessa is a charming small town that’s home to one of thirteen National Historic Landmark sites in Delaware including the Corbit-Sharp house which is a designated Network to Freedom site on the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway. It is also near parks and natural areas such as the Blackbird Creek Reserve, Lums Pond State Park, and Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge.
Miller-Dunham Bed & Breakfast offers a casual and peaceful experience, and is pet-friendly. The Inn’s four guest rooms are tastefully furnished and are uniquely themed according to the local area’s history and landscape. Guests wake to a delicious homemade breakfast, and after a day of sightseeing, can return to relax in the beautiful garden, play a game of corn hole, or enjoy a glass of wine by the fire.
