1 French Bread Baguette

½ Can Tomato Paste

1 14.5 Ounce Can No-Salt Added Diced Tomatoes

2 Tsp. Granulated Garlic

2 Tsp. Italian Herbs

½ Tsp. Sugar

¼ Cup Olive Oil

¼ Cup Grated Parmesan

4 Roma Tomatoes, thinly sliced

¼ Cup Fresh Basil, julienned

1 ½ Cups Shredded Mozzarella




Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut baguette into thirds lengthwise. Place on baking sheet. Brush all slices with olive oil and sprinkle them with ½ teaspoon of granulated garlic. Next sprinkle them with ¼ cup Parmesan. Place into preheated oven and bake until lightly golden brown. Remove from oven and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the can of no salt added tomatoes, the ½ can of tomato paste, 1 ½ teaspoon granulated garlic, Italian herbs and sugar. Whisk together, then salt and pepper to taste. Using a spoon, spread sauce on toasted baguettes. Next top them with the mozzarella cheese. Now place the thinly sliced Roma tomatoes on the baguettes. Return to oven and let bake until cheese is melted, about 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and top with julienned basil.
