Stephanie McMillin: As Executive Director of the Springfield Tourism Commission, Stephanie is a regular Big Blend Radio guest expert, providing seasonal updates on Springfield and central Kentucky’s events and activities.

The seat of Washington County, Springfield is located near the cities of Lexington and Louisville, in central Kentucky’s land of ‘Bourbon, Horses & History’.  A gateway destination to Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park and Mammoth Cave National Park, the city is on the Lincoln Scenic Byway, and being the ancestral home of Abraham Lincoln’s family, is also part of the Kentucky Lincoln Heritage Trail. Springfield is also part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, TransAmerica Bicycle Trail, the Barn Quilt Trail and Kentucky Fiber Trail. Boasting four gentle seasons, numerous historic and cultural sites and attractions, a full calendar or events, beautiful scenery and plenty of opportunities for nature and outdoor adventures, the area makes for a great destination.
